Welcome to the Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District

The Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District provides on a daily bases Fire Suppression, Paramedic level Emergency Medical Services, Rescue, Hazardous Materials First Responder, Fire Prevention, and Public Education services too approximately 20,000 people.  This service area includes the Village of Elburn, Village of Lily Lake, Village of Virgil and Mill Creek Subdivisions. Much of our district is unincorporated Kane County along with many new subdivisions on the way. We also cover three major highways RT. 64, RT. 38 & RT. 47. and a commuter rail line with two commuter rail stations. We also protect and educate students in 4 elementary schools plus many business and farms all in an area of approximately 75 square miles that we call the Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District.

The Insurance Services Organization (ISO) rating for the Village of Elburn and all areas protected by a public water service (hydrated areas) are a Class 4 and the ISO rating for the Elburn Fire Protection District (unincorporated area outside the city) is a Class 8B   

What you can expect protecting you 24 hrs. a day 365 day a year.

Station One (Village of Elburn)

A Duty officer

Engine company staffed with 3 Firefighter/EMT or Paramedics

Ambulance staffed with two Paramedics

Station Two (Just outside Mill Creek Subdivision)

Paramedic Engine company staffed with 3 Firefighter/Paramedic or EMTS

 

The Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District consists of 3 Chief officers, a Full time Fire Prevention Officer plan reviewer, 12 Full time FF/Paramedics and 45 Part time FF/Paramedics or EMTS members, and One Administrative Assistant.
