It
is my pleasure to welcome you to the Elburn & Countryside
Fire Protection District web site. The purpose of our web
site is to educate and inform all who view this site about
the vast array of services and the highly trained and
motivated personnel that provide them.
Our Department is a full service organization that responded
to over 1,341 of combined fire and EMS requests for
assistance in 2008. We protect approximately 23,000 people
within 75 square miles. We are actively involved with
surrounding fire departments providing automatic and mutual
aid wherever and whenever possible.
In addition to our primary role of fire and EMS service, we
also staff a Hazardous Materials Team & Trench Rescue Team.
Our staffing includes 1 Fire Chief, 1 Assistant Chief of
EMS, 1 Assistant Chief of Fire Operations, 1 Fire Marshal,
21 full-time personnel, 45 Paid-on-Call personnel and 1
Administrative Assistant.
The Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District Fire
Prevention Bureau is actively involved in educating the
citizens of the district thru public education programs. Our
district prides itself on the continuing education and
training of all personnel. We also provide preventative
education and services to local businesses thru fire
inspections so they can provide the safest environment for
their customers and employees.
We are a very active organization whose mission is to
provide exceptional service to our citizens. Please take
some time to become familiar with our Department. Feel free
to stop by or call to schedule a tour or block party visit,
sign up for CPR education or request an educational program
that fits your specific needs. We will work to the best of
our abilities to provide the citizens of our district with
the best services possible.
We encourage your input. If you have suggestions about items
that should be included on our web site, we would like to
hear from you. Please contact our website staff at
webmaster@ecfpd.com.
