We are seeking individuals that have a desire to service the community and are interested in the Fire and Emergency Medical Service Experience not needed - Training provided

Applications Due: September 29, 2017

Orientation: Thurs., October 5, 2017 at 1900 hrs. or Sat., October 7, 2017 at 0900 hrs.

Applicants are required to attend mandatory orientation. Applicants that do not attend one of the two orientations will be removed from the hiring process.

Written Exam: Thurs., October 19, 2017 at 1900 hrs.

Applicants are required to take a written exam. Applicants that do not attend pass the written exam will be removed from the hiring process.

Oral Interview: Applicants will be notified via mail of their interview date and time.

Valid Illinois State Driver’s License: Yes

Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes

Applicants must live within the boundaries of the Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District or an adjacent fire district.

Specific Disqualifiers/Behaviors

Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: No Felony or Criminal convictions, probation or supervision.

Driving Disqualifiers: Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and good driving record.

Drug Use Disqualifiers: No illegal drug possession or record of illegal drug use.

Employment Disqualifiers: Must pass a pre-employment medical evaluation including drug screening, psychological and polygraph examination and background investigation.

Additional Requirements: Must pass written exam and oral interview.
